Nano-diamonds: Nano-diamonds are produced by using free carbons generated in the detonating process of negative oxygen balance explosives, and controlling detonation pressure and temperature to transfer them into microcrystalline diamond particles with diameters of 5-20 nm. The special synthetic condition makes the shape of their basic particles into near sphere. Their surfaces have rich functional groups, specific surface area increased by an order of magnitude compared to ordinary diamond products. The Nano-diamonds not only have better hardness and abrasive characteristics than ordinary man-made diamonds, but also have new features of nano-function materials.
